So here we sit, each of us. Some of us have been cut open before. Some of us have never truly been cut open. Each of us has a sweetness. Some sweeter, some less sweet.
Forgot to note who has written this ,but so beautiful
I love it when I see that you have a new post....always starts my day out on a thoughtful note.
I don't know if you saw the entire article that includes the quote, but it is a beautiful article and very touching....I especially love the description of the husband cutting out the sweet center of the watermelon and lovingly sharing it with his wife. My wish would be that everyone has someone in their life who knows and loves them so well (tough exterior rind and all).
Here's a link to the entire 'Mystery of Watermelons' article by 'On Being' columnist, Omid Safi, in case you didn't see the entire piece...It's a keeper :-) http://www.onbeing.org/blog/mystery-of-watermelons/7774
Thank you again for your always inspiring posts, Marjolein. Hope you're having a beautiful day.
